Alamosa, Colo. -- Plachy Hall set the stage for a memorable Senior Day as Adams State celebrated the final home game for six standout players with a dominant 84-54 victory over CSU Pueblo in a crucial RMAC matchup.
Fueled by a dominant fourth quarter, the Grizzlies outscored the ThunderWolves 32-18 in the final period to seal the win. Kiiyani Anitielu led the charge with an impressive 28 points, shooting 12-of-19 from the field while adding three steals and two assists. Senior Brooke Rodgers Contributed 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while Senior Ri'Ahana Davis provided a spark with 14 points, eight rebounds, and three three-pointers. Taejhuan Hill recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Defensively the Grizzlies were relentless, forcing 18 turnovers and tallying 10 steals. Their transition play was key, scoring 20 fastbreak points and 32 points in the paint.
CSU Pueblo struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting just 31% from the field. Despite a 17 point effort from Alisha Little and 19 points from Tosjanae Bonds, the ThunderWolves couldn't keep pace with Adams State.
Beyond the victory, the night was a tribute to the Grizzlies' six seniors, who have each left a lasting mark on the program. Brooke Rodgers, Mykaila Pickard, Christabel Longe, Celina Watson, Ri'Ahana Davis, and Angelline Nageak were honored for their contributions, both on and off the court.
With the win, Adams State improved to 17-10 (12-6 RMAC) and heads into the final week of regular season play, having clinched a RMAC playoff berth.
