Adams State Women’s Soccer Adds Five Key Transfers for Spring 2025

Alamosa, Colo. – With depth tested during a challenging fall season and key departures from graduation and the transfer portal, the Adams State women's soccer program made pivotal additions during the Spring 2025 semester—bringing in five experienced transfer student-athletes who made immediate impacts both on and off the field.

"After losing seven seniors and several others to the portal, we needed players who could step in right away," said head coach Alex Greco. "These five came in hungry to compete, raised the standard in training, and brought much-needed competition and maturity to our group."

All five student-athletes arrived at Adams State as proven contributors at their previous institutions and continued that trend during their first semester in Alamosa—highlighted by strong performances in spring matches and academic success, including multiple Dean's List honors. One even set a new program record in the beep test fitness assessment.

Mia Del Muro
Forward | Cal State LA / Pacific Union College

Del Muro transferred to Adams State from Cal State LA, where she played in 12 games and scored two goals. Prior to that, she starred at Pacific Union College, starting all 15 matches as a freshman and tallying nine goals and three assists. She was named Offensive MVP, Newcomer of the Year, and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition.

In her first semester at Adams State, Del Muro earned Dean's List honors and contributed multiple goals and assists during spring competition.

"Mia gives us something unique—she's creative in 1v1 situations, reads the game well, and can create chances out of nothing," said Greco. "She can play any of the front four positions and gives us great flexibility in attack."

Aja Listar
Defender | Ottawa University (AZ) / Scottsdale CC

Lister began her collegiate career at Ottawa University in Arizona before transferring to Scottsdale Community College, where she captained the Artichokes to a second-place finish in the ACCAC and a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament. She started all 18 matches at SCC.

After arriving at Adams State, Lister earned Dean's List recognition and immediately solidified the back line.

"Aja was a game-changer for us this spring. Her energy up and down the field, defensive reliability, and ability to create in transition gave our back line a new edge," said head coach Greco. "She made everyone around her better."

Ashlynn Mustain
Defender | Northeastern Junior College

A two-year starter at Northeastern JC, Mustain was a key figure in their Region 9 campaign, contributing three goals and two assists. She quickly made an impression at Adams State—both on and off the field.

"Ashlynn got everyone's attention right away—she even hit a game-winning three-pointer during a halftime show at a basketball game," said Alex Greco. "On the pitch, she led the team in interceptions, shot blocks, and cross blocks, and we only gave up one goal all spring. She's a calm, intelligent defender who keeps possession under pressure."

Natalia Toledo
Midfielder | Colorado State University Pueblo

Toledo joined the Grizzlies after two seasons at CSU Pueblo, where she was part of a squad that finished sixth in the RMAC in 2022.

Though she started slowly during spring matches, Toledo finished the semester strong—scoring in the final match and making a noticeable impact with her composure and distribution in midfield.

"Nat has fit in seamlessly with our culture and team," said coach. "She's great in possession and has a knack for seeing passing lanes others don't. As our team improves its ball retention, she'll be a key part of that evolution."

Lorena Vargas-Galvan
Midfielder | Fresno State / Colorado State University Pueblo

Vargas played her freshman season at Fresno State before transferring to CSU Pueblo, where she played in every game and tallied a goal and an assist.

This spring, she led Adams State in points with two goals and two assists, while also earning a perfect 4.0 GPA.

"Lore completely changed our midfield dynamic," said head coach Greco. "She reads the game exceptionally well and creates chances by finding the right pockets of space. I remember watching her dominate us in a preseason game—when I saw her name in the portal, I knew we had to get her. She's a difference-maker."

With these five new Grizzlies bolstering an already competitive roster of returners, Adams State is poised for a strong fall campaign in 2025.
