LAREDO, Texas — In a tough match against Sul Ross University, Adams State Men's Soccer drops its second match of the year by a score of 8-0. The loss puts the Grizzlies at a record of 0-2 in their early season. 

Today's match was a tough match for the Grizzlies as they were not able to get much going offensively, along with struggling to stop the offense of Sul Ross throughout the entire match. Statistically, there was a big discrepancy between Sul Ross and Adams State, as Sul Ross was able to get 24 shots off, with 12 being on goal, whereas the Grizzlies were only able to get 7 shots, of which 0 were on goal. Of the 12 shots on goal, Sul Ross managed 8 of them were successful shots, leading to their 8 goals. As well, Sul Ross had 6 corner kicks while the Grizzlies were not able to get a corner kick in the match.

Individually, Sul Ross had 7 different individuals score, with one individual scoring twice. Along with their offensive attack, the Sul Ross defense held the Grizzlies to zero shots on goal, which led to their goalie having no save opportunities on the match. Individually, for the Grizzlies, they had 5 individuals who attempted a shot, with Kaidin Reese and Avery Richards leading the way with 2 shots attempted each. In the match, Richards played 45 minutes and Reese played 35 minutes. On the defensive side, Lars Ostermann played all 90 minutes as the Grizzlies' goalie. Although today's match was a tough one for the Grizzlies, they will look to bounce back on Sunday when they play their next match in Texas against Texas A&M International University. The match will again be held in Laredo, Texas, and will be played at 1 PM MST. The match will be the Grizzlies' third match of the year as they continue to look for their first win of the year.
