Alamosa, Colo. – Garcia Ramser, who has led the volleyball program for the past two seasons, announced Friday that he has accepted a new coaching position.
Ramser, who coached the Grizzlies during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, led the program back to the RMAC Tournament in 2025 for the first time since 2017 and totaled 26 wins over his two-year tenure, with year-over-year improvement throughout his time in Alamosa.
"We appreciate everything Garcia brought to our volleyball program," said Athletic Director Katelyn Smith. "We support him completely and wish him the absolute best."
"This was the toughest decision of my professional career," Ramser said. "I'm incredibly grateful to Adams State, the administration, and our student-athletes for the opportunity and will always cherish my time in Alamosa."
The Adams State volleyball program wishes Ramser continued success as he moves forward in his coaching career. A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
