Pueblo, Colo. – Adams State track and field opened Day 1 of the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with a solid overall performance.
The Grizzlies began competition in the women's 10,000-meter run, where Olivia Coulston recorded a personal-best time of 38:30.26 to place 12th.
In the men's 400-meter dash preliminaries, El Mir Reale qualified for the finals in fourth place with a time of 47.81 seconds. The finals are scheduled for 12:20 p.m. Sunday. Gavin Heyneman finished 21st in 49.83.
David Millan placed seventh in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 9:25.38. On the women's side, Haley Harkrider led the Grizzlies with a fifth-place finish in 11:02.12, while Jazmin Estrada took ninth in 11:11.61.
In the men's 800 meters, two Grizzlies advanced to the finals. Gabe Onelio qualified seventh with a time of 1:51.59, while Jack Gumm secured the ninth spot in 1:52.33.
Devin Provence advanced to the finals of the men's 1,500 meters after clocking 3:56.64. Biruk Begashaw posted a time of 4:08.34 but did not advance.
On the women's side of the 1,500 meters, four Grizzlies qualified for the finals. Clara Keddy led the group with a time of 4:41.06. Addison Bisceglie crossed in 4:36.51, while Aspen Fulbright (4:40.79) and Emma Robinson (4:49.27) also advanced.
In field events, Wyatt Dirkes placed 20th in the men's shot put with a mark of 12.95 meters. Maya Kronberg finished 15th in the women's shot put (11.16 meters) and added an eighth-place finish in the discus with a throw of 40.99 meters.
Landon Baker recorded an 11th-place finish in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.66 meters.
Adams State continues competition Sunday, beginning with the women's javelin at 11 a.m., followed by the men's 1,500-meter finals at 11:15 a.m.
