BOISE, Idaho (December 9, 2014) –
The Adams State University men's basketball team was dealt a 78-49 exhibition loss against the Boise State University Broncos on Tuesday night from the Taco Bell Arena.

The Grizzlies shot 32 percent (17-53) from the field and just 18 percent (4-22) from three-point range with 18 turnovers factoring into the loss. The Broncos opened the game on a 14-2 run as a rotation of Grizzly players saw the court but were unable to produce offensively. Adams State got within 14 early in the second half but Boise State soon went on a run to pull away with the lead stretching to 33 points with 3:18 remaining in the game.

Marcus Hall led the team with 12 points off 5-of-7 shooting along with four rebounds. Shakir Smith also reached double figures with 11 points during 22 minutes of action.

Three Boise State players reached double figures led by 12 points apiece from Derrick Marks and Igor Hadziomerovic as James Webb III tallied 11 points.

Despite qualifying as an exhibition game for the Grizzlies, Tuesday's contest served as a regular season game for the Broncos who improve to 6-2 with the win.

Conference action resumes for Adams State on Dec. 13 in Durango against Fort Lewis College at 3:00 p.m.
