ALAMOSA, Colo. (October 29^th, 2016) --- The volleyball team seemed all but doomed before rallying to a 3-2 win in 5 sets over New Mexico Highlands.

The upset seemed to be certain for 3^rd to last ranked team in the RMAC tonight. Everything seemed to go right for the Cowgirls who surged to a 2 set lead at the break, winning 25-17 and 25-23. The Grizzlies would dominate in the 3^rd and 4^th, winning 25-15 and 25-16, forcing a 5^th set. In the final set, Adams jumped to a 5-1 lead on their way to a 15-10 victory.

Hannah Atkinson led both teams with 16 kills. Briannah Mariner added 8 blocks on the night.

The Grizzlies improve to 14-9 (9-5 RMAC) on the year. The Cowgirls drop to 5-14 (2-12 RMAC).

The team returns to Plachy Hall for their next game against Colorado School of Mines on November 4^th at 7:00pm.
