ALAMOSA, Colo. (September 24^th, 2016) --- The volleyball team won a 5 set thriller tonight by a score of 3-2 over the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (7-5).  

Adams State (8-5) took the first set 25-22, but dropped the second 19-25, making things even at the break. ASU would win the third set 25-21 to take a 2-1 lead. The fourth set looked to be in the bag for Adams, who took an early 8-2 lead before giving up a 12-2 run and eventually losing 17-25. In the final set, the Grizzlies prevailed 15-13 in a back and forth fight to the finish.

Mallory Grimsrud, Hannah Atkinson, and Nina Mody-Bailey combined for 37 kills on the night. Katelyn Schwartz and Rachael Ringler posted a combined 42 assists.

Up next for the Grizzlies, is Western State Colorado University on Friday, September 30^th in Alamosa at 7:00pm.
