ALAMOSA, Colo. (April 18, 2017) – Adams State University remains at home for two RMAC games this week against No. 15 Regis University and Colorado State University-Pueblo.
The Grizzlies face Regis at 3pm on Wednesday followed by a Saturday meeting with CSU-Pueblo at 12pm. Saturday will serve as Senior Day for the Adams State program featuring a pregame ceremony to honor five seniors:
Azeb Giday,
Angela Gallegos,
Samantha Teti,
Marisa Juarez, and
Sarah Cousins.

Last Time Out
The Adams State women's lacrosse team found themselves in a shootout at home on April 15
th with the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS). Despite trailing early, the Grizzlies put together six goals in the second half on the way to an 8-6 win. The win gave the Grizzlies back-to-back home wins for the first time in program history.
Cera Cyester had a game-high three goals as
Jessica Hammer added two.
Mireya Castro finished with a goal and an assist as
Alyse Mims notched five saves in the win. The victory also marked ASU's first-ever win against UCCS in program history.
About The #15 Rangers
Regis enters Wednesday with a perfect 6-0 RMAC record and a 12-1 overall mark. Their lone defeat came on the road against Florida Institute Technology by a score of 15-13 on April 7
th. Since the setback, Regis has rattled off four consecutive wins. Erin Todd has a team-best 42 goals as Sarah Myres has a team-best 58 points with 25 goals and 33 assists. In total, the Rangers have nine players with 10 or more goals this season. The program has utilized three goalkeepers this season with each recording a start. Kenley Harrington holds a 7-1 record with 31 saves and a save percentage of .373. Court Huston has a save percentage of .526 with 20 saves and a 2-0 record. Hope Correia owns 18 saves, a .429 save percentage, and a 3-0 record. The program is under the direction of head coach Sarah Kellner in her 11
th season at Regis.
About The ThunderWolves
CSU-Pueblo started the season 1-6 but have since gone 3-1 during the month of April. Their recent wins have come against UCCS, Adams State, and Concordia-St. Paul. The ThunderWolves average 12.41 goals/game and own a 4-8 overall record and a 2-5 mark in RMAC play. Leah Neumann and Alix Zierden own 31 and 29 goals, respectively, to pace the team. Neumann also leads the team in draw controls (52) and points (42). Allison Wurscher has a team-best 14 assists. April McDonough holds a 4-5 record in net with 51 saves. The ThunderWolves are led by third year head coach Monica Potter.
