ALAMOSA, Colo. (April 25, 2017) – Adams State University wraps up their 2017 season with a Friday home meeting against Fort Lewis College. Game time is scheduled for 3pm from the ASU Lacrosse Field. Adams State celebrated senior day on April 22
nd at the ASU Lacrosse Field against RMAC foe Colorado State University-Pueblo. The game was evenly matched in the first half but the ThunderWolves pulled away in the second for an 18-10 win.
Seniors
Azeb Giday,
Angela Gallegos,
Samantha Teti,
Marisa Juarez, and
Sarah Cousins combined for two goals, seven ground balls, and two draw controls.
Jessica Hammer had a well-rounded game with one goal, one assist, two ground balls, and three draw controls. Cera "Big Red" Cyester also added three goals. The ThunderWolves were led by Leah Neumann's five goals.
About The Skyhawks
Fort Lewis enters their game at ASU with a 7-6 overall record and a 5-3 RMAC mark. Friday's game will also be the regular season finale for the Skyhawks. The program was most recently in action at home against CSU-Pueblo and walked away with a 16-6 win. Brooke Galle holds a team-best 23 goals and 27 points as seven other players have 10-or-more goals this season. Megan Longtain has a team-best 46 ground balls and 32 caused turnovers. The team has utilized two goalkeepers this season with Alyssa Spencer earning nine starts. Spencer owns a save percentage of .474 and has collected 63 saves. Daris Wienk has four starts and 37 saves. The program is under the direction of head coach Julia Decker.
