Alamosa, Colorado– The Adams State University men's basketball team (10-10, 8-6 RMAC) hopes to break back into the winning category this Saturday against the one of the best teams in the conference in the Colorado School of Mines.
Recently In Adams State Men's Basketball:
The Grizzlies seemingly cannot put together back to back wins lately with the feat last occurring on January 6
th and January 12
th. Since ringing in the New Year, the team's record has been 3-3. Nevertheless
Shane Johnson and
Brandon Sly continue to be RMAC stars, holding the third and four place for points this season and points per game.
Jarrett Givens and Sly are also tied for third most steals in the conference defensively.
About Colorado School of Mines:
The Orediggers sit at 15-4 overall and 9-4 in the RMAC, but are shockingly not even in the top 25 national rankings. They have an impressive 5-1 record on the road so they will likely not be intimidated by a ruckus crowd. Michael Glen is second in the conference in defensive rebounds and second in blocks as well. The Grizzlies may look outside to throw him off.
Last Meeting:
Mines ended Adams State's season last year 99-79 in the RMAC tournament.
