ALAMOSA – Adams State University men's basketball team will host MSU-Denver Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Plachy Hall for the 2018 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference quarterfinals. The ASU men are the fourth seed for the RMAC Shootout.
 
Tickets will go on sale Monday at noon in the Plachy Hall Office. They will remain on sale for 24 hours. Day-of tickets will go on sale at 5 p.m. Adult tickets are $10, with students and children age's five to 12 are $5. Grizzly Club and Student Passes will not be accepted for this game. Grizzly Club members may sit in Grizzly Club section until full, as all seating will be a first-come, first-serve basis.
 
Game day T-shirts will go on sale Monday at noon for $5 each.
 
The first 300 students into the game will receive free admission and a t-shirt. Ticket and t-shirt line open at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Plachy East Lobby for Adams State students only.
 
About Metro State:
The Roadrunners enter the RMAC Tournament as the five seed with a 15-13 overall record and a 14-8 conference mark. The team is much better at home (9-4) than on the road (6-7) which could prove to be a slight advantage for Adams State, who is 8-3 inside Plachy Hall. Containing Cameron Williams will be key for the Grizzlies if they hope to advance. The senior ranks second in the RMAC in scoring with 21.6 points per game and also ranks second in total steals with 46.
 
Previous Meeting: The two teams only met once this season with the Grizzlies winning easily 80-62. In the game 
Shane Johnson and 
Brandon Sly dominated the offensive end of the court, putting up 26 and 18 points respectively. Both shot at least 50 percent from the floor, while Johnson dished out five assists. On the defensive end of the battle, 
Mike Thomas had all five of the teams' five blocks, while Sly and Thomas each had eight boards. The Grizzlies had 15 more boards than the Roadrunners.
