ALAMOSA – Adams State University softball team will take on New Mexico Highlands University this weekend with a pair of double headers Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's games will begin at noon with Sunday's kicking off at 11 a.m.

Adams State (6-16, 3-7 RMAC) is on a three game win streak after taking on a very difficult beginning of the season schedule. The team gave up the first game last weekend to CSU-Pueblo, then rallied back on a walkoff homerun by
Tyler Hays that sparked the three game run.

The Grizzlies are led by a foursome of ladies hitting more than .350 this season.
Tyler Hays vaulted herself to a .371 hitting percentage after this weekend, while
Shelby Haskins has a .366.
April Riggins and
Brittany Phillips sit at .353 and .351, respectfully.

With the hitting going all around, Huff leads the team with 15 RBIs, while Hays has 14. Hays also leads th team with six homeruns and three triples. Haskins leads the team with 12 walks, while Johnson and Hays have 13 and 11 runs scored.

In the pitching circle,
Kacee Schroeder leads the team with a 6.94 ERA, while
Whitney Fields has six complete games and five wins. Schroeder is allowing about an earned run per inning, most of which came in the earlier part of the season.
