SB | Grizzly Host Thunderwolves this Weekend

ALAMOSA – The Adams State University softball team (3-15, 0-4 RMAC) hosts Colorado State University-Pueblo (5-10, 4-4 RMAC) this weekend on the ASU Softball Field.
 
Adams State is riding a 10-game losing streak with their last win dating back to early February against Texas A&M International University. The Grizzlies' pitching unit has struggled during the losing streak, allowing their opponents to put up double digit runs in seven of the 10 games. Kaytlynn Johnson leads the team in batting with a .327 average for the season.
 
The Thunderwolves have lost six of their last 10 games. CSU-Pueblo split with Black Hills State in its' four-game matchup last weekend. Michaela Burpee is leading the Thunderwolves with a .435 batting average.   
 
The teams split in their four-game meeting last season in Pueblo. CSU-Pueblo won the first and last games by a total of two points. The Grizzlies put up 13 runs on the Thunderwolves in route to a 13-7 win in the second game. Adams State shut out Pueblo in the third game, 3-0. 
 
The weekend starts with a double-header on Saturday at 12 and 2 p.m. The games begin a bit earlier on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
