ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Adams State Men's Basketball team heads to Utah this weekend looking for a pair of key road wins to stay in the hunt for a berth to the RMAC Tournament.

Tip-Off
• Adams State enters the weekend 6-12 overall and 6-7 in RMAC play. In the current RMAC standings, the team is just one spot out of eighth behind Dixie State.
• The Grizzlies are currently on a four-game road trip and close out against Dixie State and Westminster before returning home to Alamosa.
• Adams State split its first two games on the road last weekend with a win at Colorado Christian before falling to Regis in the second game.
• Follwoing this weekend's road trip in Utah, the Grizzlies will return to Plachy Hall Gym for their final four home games of the regular season starting next weekend.
Adams State Breakdown
• The Grizzlies still sit in the top-five in the RMAC in team scoring. They are fifth a with an average of 80.5 points per game on 44.2% shooting. They are averaging a 30.9 shooting percentage from beyond the arc.
• On the defensive end, Adams State is second to last in the conference allowing opponents to score an average of 83.1 points per game on 48.2% shooting and 36.% from three-point range.
• The Grizzlies also continue to boast one of the best free throw percentages in the RMAC. As a unit they shoot 75.1% on average from the free throw line and are tied for third in the conference.
Adams State also ranks fifth in the conference in rebounding average. The team grabs an average of 36.4 boards per contest. They are fifth in steals as well averaging 7.0 per game.

John Dewey continues to lead the team in scoring and is fifth in the RMAC. He averages 18.5 points per game on 40% shooting from the floor. he is tied for third in minutes played per game with 34.2

Davere Creighton is second in scoring with 14.7 points per game, while
Shemar Johnson is third 13.4 points per game.
Rickey Norris rounds things out with an average of 11.9 points per game.
• Creighton is the top rebounder for the Grizzlies averaging 8.2 boards per contest. His total of 147 rebounds and his average leads the RMAC entering the weekend.
• Dewey continues to facilitate the offense as a scorer and passer. He leads the team with 4.0 assists per game and ranks fourth in the RMAC. Norris is second on the team averaging 2.0 assists per game.
• Dewey and Norris are also the team leaders in steals at 1.6 and 1.3 per game, respectively. Creighton is third at 1.1 steals per game. Dewey's team leading 1.6 steals per game ranks sixth in the RMAC.
• Norris and Johnson have the most blocks at 14 and 11 respectively. Norris has the higher average at 0.9 per game, while Johnson averages 0.7 per game.
• Dewey is also the conference leader in free throw percentage. He is averaging 92% from the line and has made 104 shots on 113 attempts. His percentage ranks fifth in all of Division II.
Scouting Westminster College
• The Griffins come into the weekend with a 7-10 overall mark and are 5-8 in RMAC play. They are 10th in the conference standings and like the Grizzlies are fighting for a spot in the RMAC Tournament.
• Offensively, Westminster is second to last in scoring averaging just 70.4 points per game but is tied for fourth in shooting percentage at 46.2%. They shoot 36.3% from deep.
• Defensively, the Griffins give up an average of 75.7 points per game on 45.2% shooting and 37.6% from three-point range.
• Five players are averaging double-digit points led by Brandon Warr's 14.7 points per game. His average his tied for 14th in the RMAC.Â
• Jacob McCord is second in scoring at 11.5 points per game. Jai Jai Ely right behind him at 11.2 points per game. Jake Connor and Alec Monson round out the list at 10.1 points per game, respectively.
• Warr is also the top rebounder for the Griffins and is second in the RMAC at 7.9 boards per game. McCord is right behind him at 7.5 rebounds per game. He ranks fifth in the RMAC.
• Monson leads the offense is passing with an average of 2.8 assists per game. McCord is second at 2.2 assists. Ely is also averaging over two assists per game at 2.1.
• McCord and Ely are the team leaders in steals. Both players are averaging 0.9 steals per game.
• Monson is also the top shot blocker with 19 total and averages 1.1 per game. He is tied for fifth in the conference with his average.
• Ely is the RMAC leader in minutes played at 35.24. Connor is third at 34.2 minutes played per game.
Scouting Dixie State
• The Trailblazers are one game over .500 at 9-8 overall and 7-6 in the RMAC. They currently sit eighth in the conference standings just one game ahead of Adams State.
• Dixie State averages 74.0 points per game on offense and shoot an average of 46.1% from the floor. They are third in the RMAC in three-point percentage at 38.7%.
• On the defensive side, the Trailblazers are second best in points allowed at 70.5 points per game. They have the best percentage defense holding opponents to 40.6% shooting.
• Dixie State ranks second in the RMAC in team rebounding. They pull down 37.2 boards per contest. They lead the RMAC in game attendance with an average of 2,133 fans per game.
• Just one player is in double figures in Matt Conway at 17.7 points per game. His average is seventh highest in the RMAC. He is third in shooting percentage at 54.7%.
• Conway also leads the team in rebounds averaging 5.9 boards per game. Dub Price is second on the team in points and rebounds at 9.4 and 4.8 per game, respectively.
• Zach Frampton has the most assists with 46. Jack Pagenkopf has the highest average at 2.9 and has tallied 44 on the season.
• Frampton also leads the defense in steals averaging 1.4 per contest. Pagenkopf is second at 1.3 steals per game. Both rank in the top-20 in the conference.
• Julien Ducree is the team leader in blocked shots with 12 total. He averages 0.8 blocks per game.
