ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Adams State Grizzlies Football team prepares to take on Dixie State this weekend in their season finale on the road. The upset-minded Grizzlies are coming off of two straight home defeats and are looking to end their season with a bang against the 7-3 Trailblazers, and they may have to do it without quarterback
John Buksa and receiver
Tariq Bitson.

The Grizzlies loss last weekend against Colorado Mesa could have been due to the multitude of injuries to key playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, as Bitson did not suit up for the conest and Buksa went out in the first quarter. This weekend, they will rely on quarterback
Markell White to take care of business, as he saw his first action of the season last week after Buksa went out. The Grizzly receiving corps will hope to make up for Bitson's absence with their other playmakers on the outside such as
Quintion Garrett,
Ziere Banner and Sha'corey Foster. Tight end
Ian Fryday hopes to be a security blanket for White, as the Grizzlies will have their hands full with a staunch Blazers defense awaiting.

Dixie State may also be without their starting quarterback this weekend, as Keaton Mott went out with an injury last weekend versus Colorado School of Mines, and was replaced by Tanner Hammond. Hammond will be set to start this Saturday, and hopefully
Alani Pututau and company will take advantage of the inexperienced starter and force pressure. As has been the theme of the 2019 season, the Grizzly defense had a great first have but ran out of gas in the second half. They hope to register their best defensive performance of the year and help out their depleted offense Saturday.

The Adams State Grizzlies kickoff their season finale at Dixie State University at 12 PM Saturday from St. George, Utah. Live stream and stats will be available through the opposing website at DixieStateAthletics.com.
