ALAMOSA, Colo. - Adams State Softball is back on the diamond this weekend as the team is home for the second time in as many weeks. The Grizzlies will host another RMAC foe before hitting the road for eight straight games.

• The Grizzlies enter the weekend winners in three of their last four bouts after starting the season 0-16
• Adams State will once again play host to an RMAC opponent and will play nothing but conference games the rest of the regular season.
• Saturday's doubleheader action will begin at 12 p.m. with game two to follow at 2 p.m. Sunday's action will start at 11 a.m. and will pick up again at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out
• The Grizzlies last action on the diamond resulted in a 3-1 series win over in-state foe Fort Lewis College
• Adams State won the first three games of the series, but the Skyhawks took game four to avoid the series sweep on the road.
• Game three was the most exciting for the Grizzlies as they rallied from a 10-0 deficit to win 13-12 on two-run walkoff homer by
Brittany Phillips.
• Game one was a 12-10 slugfest that the Grizzlies took before they bounced back with a 15-7 win in game two that lasted just five innings.
• Looking to avoid the sweep and not blow another lead. The Skyhawks took game four in five innings by a final score of 21-2.

Brittany Phillips' strong offensive play last weekend now has her leading the team in batting average with a .417. She has a team-high seven RBI and has also scored six runs to go along with two homers.

Shelby Haskins is second in hitting for Adams State with a .303 batting average and is right behind Phillips in RBI with five on the year. She is tied for the lead in home runs with two.

Sarah Rocha has come on as of late with a .409 batting average in RMAC play and is batting .283 overall to sit third.Â

Kenzie Lange is batting .429 in six RMAC games started this season and has seven RBI in that span.

Julia Jimenez is batting .417 with two runs scored and two RBI.

Brittany Phillips has also provided help in the circle in RMAC play with a 2.86 ERA in three game appearances. She has fanned four batters in 14.2 innings pitched and is 1-2 on the year.

Jade Garbiso leads the pitching unit in strikeouts with 19 total and has 13 in RMAC play. he has a 1-3 record in the RMAC and has the most innings pitched with 23.1 to lead the team.

Taylor Sandoval is 1-0 in the circle in RMAC play and has appeared in four games for the Grizzlies. She has struck out four batters in 10.1 innings pitched.

• The Grizzlies started the 2019 campaign with their first 17 games away from Alamosa.

• A pair of players are batting over .400 for the Yellow Jackets in Kindall Bethke and Alex Wiley.
• Bethke leads the way with a .452 batting average. She has four RBI on the season, to go along with eight runs scored and has hits four doubles.
• Wiley is batting .438 to stay right with Bethke. She is third on the team in RBI with six and has hit two doubles.
• Brittany Henrickson is tied for the team lead in RBI with eight and is hitting .300 so far this season. She also has hit a home run and scored four runs.
• Maddi Fidler also has eight RBI this season and is batting .273 for Black Hills State. She has a home run as well and has hit a pair of doubles.
• Wiley has also provided some depth in the circle with a 3.64 ERA this season and is 3-3 on the year. She is second in strikeouts with 11.
• Crystal Amaral has pitched the most appearing in seven games and working 35.1 innings this season. She leads the team in strikeouts with 32 on the year.
