ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Women's Lacrosse team is on the road this weekend as they get set for arguably their toughest matchup of the season against RMAC foe Regis University.

Opening Draw
• The Grizzlies (0-10, 0-6 RMAC) are set to play their final road game of the season when they take on the Rangers this weekend.
• Adams State will look to snap a 10-game skid and earn their first win of the year. They will also look to hand Regis their first loss of the year.
• The Grizzlies are currently 0-6 in true road games during the 2019 campaign.
• Following the road game, Adams State will return home next Saturday for its final home game of the regular season.

Plut at the Helm
• Head Coach
Monica Plut is in her first season of leading the Adams State Women's Lacrosse program.
• Plut was brought in as an Associate Head Coach in early January but now oversees the entirety of the program.

• Holding the lead in points for the Grizzlies is
Savannah Penland with six. All six of her points are on goals scored which is also a team-high.

Madison Gerchow is second in points and goals for Adams State. She has four goals scored to go along with one assist.

Alexis Wellong also has one assist to go along with a goal scored for two points.

Shelby Nelson and
Esperanza Reyes also have a goal on the year to contribute to the Grizzlies offense.
• Penland has also anchored the defense this season with seven caused turnovers on the year.
• Gerchow and
Louisa Sanchez are tied for second in caused turnovers with five each, respectively.
• Sanchez has led the Grizzlies in groundballs with 23 on the season. Penland is second with 10.
• Gerchow is the team leader in draw controls with 32. Penland is second with 21, while Reyes is third with four.
• In net, Sanchez has 115 saves on the year. She boasts a .344 save percentage for the Grizzlies.
Scouting Regis
• The Rangers are undefeated this season with a 14-0 overall record and are 7-0 in conference play.
• Regis enters the weekend also ranked No. 4 in the latest IWLCA Top-25 poll.
• The Rangers are coming off a 16-5 home win against UCCS this past Thursday.
• Regis also handed then No. 3 Lindenwood its first ever RMAC loss, 11-5, back on April 14.
• Sarah Myres leads the team in points with 89 on a team-high 68 goals and is second in assists with 21.
• Kyleigh Peoples is second in points with 50. She has 26 goals scored to sit fourth on the team and leads the way in assists with 24.
• Ale Vanek is third in goals for Regis with 28 and third on the team in assists with 18 for a total of 46 points.
• Wendy Donier is the second leading goal scorer with 35 this season. She also has nine assists tallied for a total of 44 points.
• Andrea Macaland (18), Lauren Hurd (13), Sarah Lugo (12), and Jessica Berg (12) are all in double figures in goals scored this season as well.
• Sarah Kate Dhom leads the Rangers defense in caused turnovers with 26. Two back with 24 is Berg to sit second.
• Hurd sits third in caused turnovers with 17, while Myres and Maya Quigley are tied for fourth with 16, respectively.
• Myresis also the draw control leader with 66 this season. Peoples is second with 34, while Wendy Donier is third with 29.
• Hurd sits atop the team in groundballs with 36. Berg and Ellie Crawford are tied for second with 30 each. Quigley is fourth with 29.
• Crawford has started all 14 games at goalie this season for Regis. She 102 saves one the year and sports a .537 save percentage.
