Box Score Highlands Ranch, CO – The Adams State University Women's lacrosse team concluded their trio of non-conference matchups this season, going head to head with Rockhurst University in what would end in another tough falling for the Grizzlies. Adams State drops to 0-3 on the season and head straight into conference matchups beginning in two weeks.
After a hard-fought matchup against Johnson & Wales, Grizzlies would stay up north to go head to head with Rockhurst University on a neutral site in what would end in Adams State's first shut-out loss on the season. Hawks would gain early momentum in the first half, putting up the first goal of the day just 30 seconds into the matchup. Sixteen more would follow throughout the first half, as the Hawks took full control of the matchup. Grizzlies would have five face-off wins throughout the first half but found trouble taking advantage, having 14 turnovers to RU's two.
Following halftime, Rockhurst would gain control of the first two face offs to push into Grizzly territory and find the back of the net both times in just under three minutes elapsed in the second half. Adams State's
Jazmine Palacios would respond in winning the following draw control and finding
Sopheea Vomund to get the first Grizzly shot off in the matchup. The small burst of offense would be short lived as the Hawks would respond with eight more goals to put the Grizzlies away on the road, 0-27.

Grizzlies are set to kick off conference play in two weeks, opening up against Fort Lewis on March 21
st in a 1pm matchup on the road.
