Alamosa County named Corporate Sponsors of the Year
ALAMOSA, Colo. – Alamosa County has been selected as the 2022 Grizzly Club Sponsor of the Year.

The county in which Adams State University's campus resides in has always been a strong supporter of Adams State Athletics and they have been Grizzly Club Members since 2011.

Alamosa County is always looking to make Adams State look good. According to executive assistant Belina Ramirez, "Alamosa County funding is specifically targeted to maintenance and update of ASU outdoor public spaces and athletic fields such as fencing. We believe this helps keep the University's outdoor spaces in prime condition for the athletes and spectators."

In addition, the County is big on helping students and student athletes grow during their time at Adams State

"Alamosa County strongly supports all students at ASU through the Grizzly Club Sponsorship, 100th Year Celebration, Colorado Opportunity Scholarship initiatives, and even internship programs," said Ramirez. "We believe Adams State University is a vital part of Alamosa County and are very pleased to be able to provide support to the programs."

John & Margaret Faron  Named Individual Grizzly Club Partners of the Year
ALAMOSA, Colo.— "It's a full circle." That's how Margaret Faron has described being named the 2022 Grizzly Club Individual Partners of the Year.

Margaret, a 1961 graduate of Adams State University, met the love of her life, John, who found his way to Alamosa from Niagra Falls, New York, and was a member of the Adams State football team. John earned his undergraduate degree in 1963 and his master's degree in 1969.

The couple then moved to Akron, Colorado, where they were both educators, before moving back to Center, Colorado, where they finished their careers as educators. John was a coach for the Vikings, mainly in wrestling and track, and football.
The couple has been Grizzly Club members since 2012.

"Being a part of the Grizzly Club is our way of staying in touch and being a part of the ASU community," said Margaret. "We enjoy going to games, and we feel like they became a part of our family."

The couple will be honored at the Donor & Student Recognition Dinner.
