ALAMOSA, Colo.—After wins over Texas Permian Basin (72-69) and Navajo Technical (93-56) in the first six games of the season, the Adams State University men's basketball team looks to rebound just in time for Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play opens on Thursday and Friday nights inside Plachy Hall. The Grizzlies are set to take on Fort Lewis and Western Colorado with each game starting at 7:30 p.m.

After remaining undefeated through the Adams State University Thanksgiving Classic last week, Fort Lewis College has moved into the nineteenth spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll. At 6-0 overall to start the season, Fort Lewis has matched the program record for wins to begin a season done just twice before in 2019-20 and 1977-78.
Junior Akuel Kot, is the player to watch for the Grizzlies as he produced 60 points in as many minutes across both games against Navajo Technical University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University this past weekend at the ASU Thanksgiving Classic. This week's honor is the second of the season and career for Kot, who averages 29.2 points per game.
Three other players, Junior Garbrah (11.4), Brenden Boatwright (11.3) and Obi Agbim (10.4) all average double-digit points per game.
Coming in at 2-2, the Western Colorado Mountaineers look to fulfill their role as the Grizzlies' main rival as they have won two straight going into Friday night's match up. They defeated Simon Fraser (72-61) and Northern N.M. (75-64) during their home tournament this past weekend.
The Mountaineers only have one player, who averages double figures and that is Robel Desta with 14 per game.
