WEATHERFORD, Okla.—The Grizzlies took the road to Oklahoma to open up their season. They continued their four-game series today with a nine-inning game against Southwest Oklahoma State University Bulldogs. Due to weather the Grizzlies played a nine-inning game today and will finish the series tomorrow with a doubleheader.
Game 1: Bulldogs 14- Grizzlies 4 (8 innings)
The Grizzlies gave up three runs in the bottom of the first which included a two-run home run and two in the bottom of the second. The Grizzlies scored two runs in the top of the third inning with a
Mike Bathauer two run single. The Bulldogs scored two more in the bottom of the fourth and a single run in the bottom of the fifth.
Orlando Romero hit a solo home run in the top of the sixth and the Grizzlies added one more in the top of the seventh. The Bulldogs scored two runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth inning.
Jamison Fuentes was handed the loss today for the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies also made seven errors defensively today.
