MBB | Grizzlies to hit the road to take on Yellow Jackets and Eagles

ALAMOSA, Colo. — The Adams State University Men's basketball team will head back on the road as they play Black Hills State University and Chadron State College.
 
The Grizzlies had a tough weekend at home last week as they went 0-2 at home against Colorado School of Mines and No. 12 ranked Regis University. The Grizzlies battle against Colorado School Of Mines last Saturday. They had three players scoring in double figures this game. Up first they had Jordan Notch with 23 points going 10-15 from field, Kaelin Crane 17 points 5 rebounds, lastly Rylan O'brien with 14. The Grizzlies were up the whole game but fell short in the last 5 minutes of the game, ending in a final score 71-77. The Grizzlies are now ranked 9th in the RMAC rankings.
 
Up first, the Grizzlies will play against Black Hills State University on Friday, February 4th at 7:30 p.m. They will remain on the road as they head to play Chadron State College Saturday, February 5th at 7:30 p.m.
 
Black Hills State played last Saturday against Metropolitan State University. It was a very intense game with these two teams from tip off.  Adams Moussa had a great night leading the team in scoring with 22 points and 6 assist. Joel Scott had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Lastly, we had Sindou Cisse with 11 points with 3 steals and 2 blocks. It was a very close game, Black Hills taking home the victory with a final score of 77-75. Black Hills stills remains number one in the RMAC rankings.
 
The next team the Grizzlies will match up against this weekend will be against Chadron State College Saturday, February 5th at 7:30 p.m.
 
Chadron State College is currently sitting in 12th in the RMAC rankings. The last team they matched up against was Metropolitan State University on Friday. They had a total of five players scoring in double figures. Almost all players on Chadron scored this game, leading in scoring was Marcus Jefferson with 19 points, CJ Jennings with 16 points, two players scoring 10 points KJ Harris and Porter Anderson. KJ Harris was shy one rebound a way from having a double double finishing with 9 rebounds. It was a tough battle from start to finish Chardon taking home the win with a final score of 78-76.     
 
The Grizzlies will be back at home where they will face Colorado Mesa Friday, February 11th at 7:30 p.m. They will remain in Plachy hall to face Westminster College Saturday, February 12th at 7:30 p.m.
