DENVER, Colo. - The Grizzlies took to the field to continue their four-game series against Regis University today. The Grizzlies played a nine- inning game on Saturday and fell 15-5.
Game 1: Rangers 15, Grizzlies 5
The Grizzlies jumped on the board first with a single by
Matt Bathauer that plated a run.
Cesar Loma started for the Grizzlies. He shut down the Rangers before giving up three runs in the in fourth inning which included a two-run homerun. The Grizzlies retook the lead in the top of the fifth inning with a run scoring double by
Nathan Hield and another single by
Matt Bathauer that plated two runs. The Rangers then scored seven unanswered runs with six of them in the fifth inning, and one in the sixth inning.
Ryan Downs hit a solo homerun to left field in top of the eighth inning. The Rangers then put up another five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Cesar Loma was handed the loss for the Grizzlies recording five strikeouts, only one walk and going four and a third inning.

The Grizzlies will look to even up the series on Sunday with two seven inning games starting at 11:00am.
