ALAMOSA, Colo.— The Adams State Grizzlies continued their long stretch of road games today against Rockhurst University.
The Grizzlies were fresh off of a last minute win against Quincy University. They were hoping to use that momentum in their favor against Rockhurst University. However, the Grizzlies defense couldn't hold up against Rockhurst's aggressive offense. Rockhurst University scored 12 unanswered goals in the first half.
In the second half things were looking up for the Grizzlies as their offense started to come alive late in the game. The Grizzlies scored three goals in the fourth period. This wasn't enough to overcome Rockhurst University's strong offense. The final score of the game was 20-3.
Up next, the Grizzlies play on the road against RMAC opponent Colorado State University of Pueblo on April 2nd. The Grizzlies will play another conference foe, Westminster College, before they turn around and host the Griffins at home on April 22nd.
