ALAMOSA, Colo.— The Grizzlies finished their series against Metropolitan State University today with a nine-inning game.
Game 1: Roadrunners 27 Grizzlies 8
The Roadrunners started off hot again scoring the first 21 runs of the game with seven in the second inning, six in the third, and eight runs in the fifth inning. The Grizzlies got on the board with a double by
Jace Wytulka to score
Colton Goldfarb. The Grizzlies then went on and scored another run in the sixth inning when
Colton Goldfarb grounded out to score Cedric Reynaud. The Roadrunners then scored three runs in top of the seventh inning.
Thomas Lyall hit a solo homerun to left field in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Grizzlies. The Roadrunners then one run in the top of the eight innings. The Grizzlies scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning with back-to-back solo homeruns by
Austin Brady and
Gunner Martinez. The Roadrunners answered with two runs in the top of the ninth inning and the Grizzlies answered with three runs in bottom of the ninth.
The Grizzlies started right-handed pitcher
Cesar Loma. He threw one and one third inning giving up five runs before getting taken out of the game with an injury.
