GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. —The Adams State Grizzlies were on the road against Colorado Mesa and fell to the Mavericks, 18-5. This was the second time the Mavericks and the Grizzlies have seen each other this year.
The Mavericks came out strong and scored six goals in the first period. The Grizzlies scored one goal in the first period. In the second period the Mavericks scored four, which made the score going into halftime 11-1.
The Grizzlies started to come alive in the third period as the Grizzlies found the back of the net three times. The Grizzlies also held the Mavericks to one goal in the third period. However, it wasn't enough to finish the game on top. The final score of the game was 18-5, Mavericks.
With the win the Mavericks clinched a share of the RMAC Regular Season Championship.
