COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— After posting some of the best times in the NCAA Division II this season, Adams State University junior Roman Legendre and senior Brianna Robles have swept the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Runner of the Week awards as announced by conference officials on Wednesday afternoon.
Legendre made his debut as a Grizzly on Saturday and he led them to a second-place finish at the Louisville Cross Country Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky, Saturday morning. He finished third in the Men's 8,000-kilometer Gold-field that featured 378 DI & DII Runners. He finished the course in 23:30.4.
For the second time this season Robles won the award as she led the Grizzlies to a second-place. The senior finished seventh in the Women's 5,000-kilometer Gold-field that featured 325 DI & DII Runners. She finished the course in 17:10.0.
