TF | Small Contingent opens outdoor season at CSUP

PUEBLO, Colo.—The Grizzlies transferred to outdoor season as they competed at an early season opener at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl Stadium.
 
In the men's 1500 meters Nathan Scherbarth had a solid effort as he placed ninth overall with a time of 4:05.56. Kidus Begashaw also competed in this event and finished 20th overall with a time of 4:12.29, followed by Andy Setser in 31st place with a time of 4:20.97.
 
Mikah Piaz competed well in the men's 800 meters and finished second with a time of 1:54.30, followed by Kailer Smith who finished 15th with a time of 2:02.39.
 
Joaquin Herrera showed great efforts in the men's 5,000 meters as he finished sixth with a time of 5:44.28.
 
Maggie McCleskey showed great efforts in the women's. 800 meters as she finished the overall posting a time of 2:18.26.  Mikaela Jonsson also competed in this event and finished in fourth with a time of 2:19.05.
 
Up Next, the Grizzlies will be back in action March 24th as they will compete at Dr.Dan Capriolio Early Bird Invite.
