Colorado Springs, Colo. – Adams State raced without its full squad Friday morning at the UCCS XC Open. Nine men and one woman represented the Grizzlies at scenic Monument Valley Park.
On the men's side, Tyman Smart led Adams State, placing 11th with a time of 25:48.6. Devin Provence (25:56.7), Micah Swann (25:58.2), and Kien Cogley (26:02.5) were not far behind, placing 19th, 20th, and 24th, respectively.
Andy Setser finished 34th with a time of 26:21.1, followed by Sam Andersen in 55th with a time of 27:07.8, Andrew O'Keefe in 63rd in 27:23.6, Jake Beckwith in 66th at 27:29.6, and rounding out the Grizzly runners was Jack Setser in 71st with a time of 27:35.5.
The lone female runner for Adams State was Clara Keddy, who placed 38th with a time of 23:42.2.
The Grizzlies will not be back in action until the RMAC Cross Country Championships on Oct. 26 at New Mexico Highlands.
