COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Gracie Hyde, a graduate of Adams State, has been awarded the title of 2023-24 RMAC Women's Co-Track Athlete of the Year, as announced by conference officials on Thursday.

Hyde made history by setting the NCAA Division II record in the 3,000-meter on Feb. 9 in Boston, clocking in at 8:58.33. She became the first NCAA Division II woman to break the 9-minute barrier in the event. Additionally, she played a pivotal role as a member of the NCAA Division II record-setting Distance Medley Relay team, anchoring the team to a time of 11:08.94. Hyde also achieved the fastest all-conditions NCAA Division II Mile time at the University of Washington, clocking in at 4:30.90. Notably, all three of these accomplishments stand as RMAC and nation-leading marks.

Currently, Hyde and her Grizzly teammates are in Pittsburg, Kansas, preparing for the 2024 NCAA Division II Track and Field Indoor Championships, which are set to commence on Friday, Mar. 8.
