DENVER — The Adams State men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Roadrunners College Invitational in Denver, Colorado.
The Adams State men placed fifth out of 14 teams, while the women did not receive a team score due to not having enough participants. Colorado School of Mines won both the men's and women's team competitions.
Zak Beckwith was the top finisher for the Grizzlies in the men's race, placing 19th with a time of 25:29.91, scoring 12 points for Adams State. Max Aldrich was next across the line in 46th place at 26:15.33. Carmelo Corral and Kien Cogley followed closely behind, finishing 57th and 58th with times of 26:27.76 and 26:27.88, respectively. Andy Setser rounded out the scoring for Adams State in 60th place with a time of 26:30.73.
In the women's race, Haley Harkrider was the first to cross the finish line for the Grizzlies, coming in 27th with a time of 22:55.74. Clara Keddy was next in 59th place with a time of 23:43.55, followed by Megan Garrett in 68th place with a time of 23:56.38.
The Grizzlies will be back in action next weekend at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Indiana.
