Adams State Softball Projected 12th in RMAC Preseason Poll, Eyes Fresh Start in 2025

Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies softball team has been picked to finish 12th in the 2025 RMAC preseason coaches poll, as announced Thursday by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

After a challenging 2024 season, in which the Grizzlies went 5-48 overall and 3-41 in RMAC play, the team has retooled its roster with nine freshmen and three transfers. Among the key additions is junior pitcher Aryana Munoz, a transfer from Western New Mexico, who is expected to provide a boost to the pitching rotation.

Colorado Mesa was voted the preseason favorite, earning eight first-place votes and 117 points. Colorado Christian followed with two first-place votes and 107 points, while MSU Denver secured one first-place vote and 106 points to round out the top three.

The Grizzlies will launch their 2025 season at the Los Lunas Tournament Jan. 31 in Los Lunas, N.M., where they will face Western New Mexico, West Texas A&M, Sul Ross State, and Eastern New Mexico. The team will then head to the Lubbock Christian University Tournament before making their home debut on Feb. 15 against Black Hills State to kick off RMAC play.
