ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released its 2025-26 All-Sports Cup standings on June 16, with Adams State University earning a sixth-place finish with 669.2 points. The result marks the Grizzlies' highest finish in the standings since 2016 and reflects a successful year across the department.
The sixth-place finish highlights the outstanding achievements of Adams State student-athletes throughout the academic year. The men's and women's track and field programs combined for multiple All-American honors and national championship performances, while the men's cross country team captured an RMAC Championship and the women's cross country team earned a third-place conference finish.
Several Adams State programs qualified for RMAC postseason competition, including men's basketball, women's soccer, and volleyball. Women's basketball enjoyed another very successful season, finishing third in the RMAC standings and earning berths in both the RMAC Tournament and the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
On the wrestling mats, the women's wrestling program produced two RMAC runner-up finishers, while the men's wrestling team claimed the RMAC Championship and earned four All-American honors during a standout campaign.
Success extended beyond athletic competition as Adams State student-athletes were recognized for their excellence in the classroom, receiving numerous academic honors at both the conference and national levels.
Historically, Adams State has consistently been among the RMAC's top athletic departments, recording multiple top-five finishes and capturing the All-Sports Cup title during the 2012-13 academic year with 885.0 points.
The Grizzlies look to build on this momentum as they continue pursuing excellence in both academics and athletics during the upcoming year.
