ALAMOSA, Colo. – Adams State University has been selected to finish 11th in the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference announced Tuesday.

The Grizzlies received 62 points in the preseason voting. The RMAC preseason poll is determined by a vote of the conference's head coaches, with returning players placed in order based on the coaches' voting from the 2025 All-RMAC Teams. 

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs was selected as the preseason favorite with 187 points, earning eight first-place votes. Colorado Mesa University followed in second with 169 points, while Colorado School of Mines and Metropolitan State University of Denver tied for third with 165 points each. 

Colorado State University Pueblo rounded out the top five with 155 points. Colorado Christian University was sixth with 125 points, followed by Fort Lewis College (112), South Dakota Mines (107), Westminster University (83), and Regis University (67).

Adams State finished 11th with 62 points, followed by New Mexico Highlands University (52), Western Colorado University (44), Black Hills State University (43), and Chadron State College (38). 

The RMAC also announced its 2026 Preseason All-RMAC Volleyball Team, featuring 14 student-athletes. The preseason team includes 10 returning student-athletes who earned First or Second Team All-RMAC honors during the 2025 season. 

MSU Denver enters the 2026 season as the defending NCAA Division II national champion after defeating Concordia-St. Paul, 3-1, in the national championship match. The Roadrunners finished the 2025 regular season with a 23-3 record and a 13-1 mark in RMAC play. 

Adams State will look to make its mark in a competitive RMAC field as the Grizzlies prepare for the 2026 season.
