Branch Named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Adams State senior running back Andre Branch has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Branch earns the first RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the 2026 season after producing one of the top rushing performances in NCAA Division II during the opening week.

The Phoenix, Arizona, native rushed for 282 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries against Western New Mexico. His 282 rushing yards ranked second among all NCAA Division II players during Week 0. Branch averaged 13.4 yards per carry and accounted for nearly half of Adams State's 627 yards of total offense. 

Branch wasted little time making an impact. Just 40 seconds into the game, he broke free for a 58-yard touchdown runto give the Grizzlies an early lead.

He added two more explosive scores in the third quarter. Branch found the end zone on a 55-yard run before breaking loose for a 76-yard touchdown late in the quarter. 

His three touchdown runs covered a combined 189 yards, highlighting an explosive night for the Adams State offense.

Branch was selected for the weekly honor over nominees from eight other RMAC programs. He becomes Adams State's first conference football Player of the Week honoree of the 2026 season.
