ALAMOSA, Colo. (November 12, 2015)—This weekend, the Adams State University Grizzlies women's basketball team will continue on their six-game road trip to open the 2015-16 season. Adams State will travel to Durango, Colo. to face off against Eastern New Mexico University
on Friday and Westminster College
on Saturdayat the Skyhawk Regional Classic. The four team tournament is hosted by Fort Lewis College.

Last Time OutASU squared off against the Air Force Academy Falcons on Nov. 4
th and lost in a 50-37 exhibition game. The Grizzlies were offensively led by Deshea Wilkes and
Cydney McHenry, as both players proved to be key cogs in Head Coach
Larry Joe Hunt's offensive unit. Wilkes led the Green & White with 12 points while picking up a game-high seven steals, while McHenry chipped in with nine points in the contest.
About the Greyhounds and GriffinsThe Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds are members of the Lone Star Conference (LSC), returning to the conference a year ago after a one year hiatus. Last year ENMU posted a 9-18 record, 5-11 in LSC play. Adams State did play the Greyhounds two seasons ago in the Grizzlies season-opener. ASU beat the Greyhounds 58-46 as Alyssa Palma led the Green &White by scoring 19 points, with 15 of those points coming from shots beyond the three-point-arc.
The Greyhounds are coached by Josh Prock, who is entering his third season at the helm of the program. In their last matchup, the Greyhounds lost to the Arizona University Wildcats by 71-37 score. Guard Sarah Stinnett led the team with 14 points off of 6-17 shooting. Her team led the Division I Wildcats by as much as five points in the opening minutes and held a 15-11 advantage on offensive rebounds for the entirety of game.
Eastern New Mexico University is based in Portales, NM.
The Westminster College Griffins are members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). They became the 16
th member of the RMAC earlier this year after promoting themselves to the Division II ranks. Previously, the Griffins belonged to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) before making the switch to the RMAC. Last year in the Frontier Conference, the Griffins posted a 26-3 record, 13-1 in conference play. The program had a significant win over Brigham Young University and made an appearance in the NAIA National Championship Tournament. Westminster nabbed a #1 seed in the tournament but lost to eventual Final Four participant Westmount College.
The Griffins are coached by Shelley Jarrad. She has coached the team since 2011 and has accumulated a 104-19 overall record. Westminster had appeared in four NAIA National Championships under her guidance, and she has also coached five NAIA All-Americans. The Skyhawk Regional Classic will mark the Griffins first action of the season.
