"We just came out flat. Not sure if we were too high and too pumped for this game or too low. Regardless, we need to rise to the occasion. Overall, it seemed like the tale of two halves. The second half we started settling in more, defense was communicating much better than the first and our offense wasn't turning the ball over quite so much." Said Head Coach Jason Levesque on the first half.To start the third quarter, Tampa netted an early goal to put their run at 12-0, but
John Beedle broke that streak by scoring Adam State's first goal of the game at 8:11 off of an assist by
Josh Peterman to put the score at 12-1. Tampa would only net one more in this quarter to go up 13-1 heading into the final stanza.
Beedle would net the Grizzlies' second goal at 11:20, with an assist by
Jamison Bobo to put the score at 13-2. Tampa would net two more before Peterman would score a late goal with fifty- five seconds left in the game to put the final score at 15-3.
"I think we learned a fair bit about ourselves this trip. We've got some work to do still, but I think we can take many positives from this trip. Moving forward, we've got to put the negatives behind us, focus on the positives and continue to improve each day, each week, each game. We're looking forward to another good test at home next weekend against a very good Colorado College team." Said Levesque of the up coming game. The Grizzlies will be on the field next against Colorado College on April 4
th at home. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
