Last Time OutIn their last on-court appearance, the Grizzlies lost against Western New Mexico University by a 62-49 score. Freshman forward
Lauren McDonald paced the team offensively, scoring 13 points against the visiting Mustangs. A large part of McDonald's offensive success came on behalf of her strong free throw shooting, where the Salida native converted a perfect 6-6 on all her shots from beyond the charity stripe. The loss against the Mustangs marked the Grizzlies ninth consecutive loss in conference play.
About the Chadron State College Eagles (6-11, 6-7 RMAC)The Eagles are currently situated in the sixth place in the Rocky Division of the RMAC and were riding a three game winning streak until the Eagles lost their last matchup against Colorado Mesa University. The Eagles have beaten both Regis and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and have lost close games against both Metro State and Colorado State University-Pueblo.
The Eagles have a top-ten offense within the RMAC that averages 61.5 points per game. CSC converts on 40 percent of their shots which is good for second within the conference. About the Regis University Rangers (11-8, 9-4 RMAC)The Rangers' season has been a tale of two halves. With the win over the Mavericks, the Rangers leapfrogged CMU for the third ranking within the Rocky Division. With Regis already owning a victory over UCCS, the Rocky Division is well within the grasp for first year Head Coach Molly Marrin.
