ALAMOSA, Colo. (March 18th, 2017) – The Adams State University men's lacrosse team will travel to St. Charles, Missouri tomorrow to face Lindenwood. On Tuesday the team will continue southeast to Huntsville, Alabama for a showdown with the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Both games will occur at 6:00PM Mountain Time.
Recently For Adams State Men's Lacrosse:
The Grizzlies are 2-1 (2-1 RMAC) on the season so far and are fresh off of a 10-4 victory over Maryville University. Even though the game was tight early on, ASU finished strong with a 4-1 run in the second half to cruise to a conference win.
About Lindenwood:
The Lions are located in St. Charles, Missouri and compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. This game marks one of two games to be played by Adams this year that is not an RMAC game. They are a pretty solid team, entering tomorrow's game at 5-1 (3-0 ECAC). The team has actually not lost at home or on the road this season, with their only loss being classified as a neutral site game in Cincinnati against Le Moyne College. David Corazalla will be the key player to watch for the Lions. Corazalla has 14 goals and nine assists on the year. The team has used three goalies this season, their main being Ben Besancenez. Ben has a save percentage of 54.5%.
Last Meeting:
The last time that these teams met up was on April 7
th, 2015. On that day, Lindenwood was able to secure a 17-7 victory in St. Charles. The Grizzlies were led by Josh Peterman and
Seth Stowell who each had two goals in the game, John Beedle and Tanner Jones who each tallied one.
About Alabama-Huntsville:
The contest with the Chargers are the second of two none conference games to be played by the Grizzlies this season. UAH is 3-5 overall and are currently on a two game losing streak. Their last win was against Notre Dame de Namur on March 12
th in Davenport, Florida. The team is led by Luke LeVette with 12 goals and 11 assists. Collin Wilcox will also be a key player to watch. Wilcox has an 80% shot on goal success rate. Michl McNeil and Kyle Siersma share goalie duties for the Chargers. The duo has made 80 saves but only boasts a 46.2% save rate.
