Tip-Off
• The Grizzlies enter the weekend looking to snap a two-game skid as they move further into RMAC play. They 1-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play. Despite falling in their previous two games, the Grizzlies have played hard in both games.
• At CSU-Pueblo, Adams State was just one point shy of forcing overtime in a 65-64 loss. Against New Mexico Highlands, the game was back-and-forth all night but the Grizzlies came up just short in a 66-62 overtime loss.
• The Grizzlies two games this weekend are part of a three-game home stand as they will look to take care of their home turf as they close out the 2018 calendar year. Their next home contest after this weekend will be a midweek match-up against Rockhurst on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
• Following the three games at home, Adams State will hit the road for the next three games. The final game of the 2018 will be on the road as the Grizzlies will head to Missouri Western to take on the Griffons on Dec. 30.
Adams State Breakdown
• Offensively, the Grizzlies are averaging 64.4 points per game and posting a 38.9 shooting percentage in five games played. Both marks rank in the top-10 in the RMAC this season.
• Defensively, Adams State is allowing 68.6 points to the opposition per contest on 37.6% shooting.
• The Grizzlies are shooting well from the free throw line averaging 78.5%, which is the top percentage in the conference.
• Adams State averages 41.2 rebounds per games, with 29.0 coming on defense on average. The overall mark is second in the RMAC, while the defensive mark is tops in the conference.
• Leading the way for the Grizzlies offense is
Stephanie Ruiz who averages 18.6 points per contest. her average is currently third in the RMAC in scoring.
Marshell Hollins is second in scoring for the Grizzlies at 8.4 points per game.
Brooke Neal is right behind her averaging 8.0 points.

Ki'asha Harris is the team's top rebounder at 7.4 per contest which is seventh in the RMAC. Neal is not far behind at even 7.0 boards per game. Her average is tied for 10th in the conference.
• Hollins as been a go to guard for the Grizzlies when it comes to facilitating the offense as she leads the team in assists with 3.2 per game. Her assists average ranks tied for ninth in the RMAC entering this weekend.
• Defensively, the Grizzlies have two of the conference's best shot blockers in
Maddie Dorris and
Lowendie Laporal. The pai ris tied for sixth in the RMAC averaging 1.0 blocks per contest.
• Also providing a spark on defense is a trio of guards in Ruiz, Hollins, and Neal. The trio is tied for 23rd in steals with an average of 1.4 per game.
• Ruiz is also the RMAC leader in minutes per game. The sophomore is averaging 37.3 minutes per contest.
Scouting Black Hills State
• The Yellow Jackets enter the weekend 6-1 overall, 2-1 in the RMAC, and are ranked No. 18 in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top-25 Poll. Black Hills State is coming off a 1-1 weekend at home.
• Black Hills State boasts one the RMAC'S top offenses averaging 71.9 points per game. The average is fourth-most in the RMAC this season.
• The Yellow Jackets also ranked in the top-five defensively in the conference. They hold opponents to 60.6 points per contest which is fifth-best in the RMAC.
• Morgan Ham and Julia Seamans lead BHSU in scoring entering the weekend. Ham averages 13.7 points, while Seamans is right on her tail at 13.6. The pair's averages sit 11th and 12th in the RMAC, respectively.
• Hams cleans up the boards the best for the Yellow Jackets with an average of 6.4 per game. She is tied for 18th in the RMAC. Helping out in rebounds are Katie Messler and Lyndzi Rich. They average 5.9 and 5.4 rebounds per contest, respectively.
• Seamans is the offensive floor general as she leads BHSU in assists at 3.9 per game. She is tied for fifth in the RMAC with her average. She also boasts a 2.1 assist-turnover ratio, which is fourth in the conference. Defensively, she is also the team leader in steals per game at 1.7.
Scouting South Dakota School of Mines
• The Hardrockers come into the weekend with a 2-4 overall record and a 0-3 mark in the RMAC. The 'Rockers are coming off a pair of close losses at home last weekend against Westminster and Dixie State.
• South Dakota Mine sis averaging 67.2 points per game which is seventh best in the RMAC.
• Defensively, South Dakota Mines is also seventh in the conference in defense allowing 63.5 points per contest.
• Just one player is averaging double-digits points in Tyalor Molstad. She is putting up 10.7 points per game. Not far behind Molstad is Anna Haugen at 9.7 points. The pair ranks in the top-30 in the RMAC in sscoring.
• Haugen is the 'Rockers best rebounder at 7.5 boards per game. She is sixth in the RMAC with her average. Molly McCabe is second on the team with 6/0 rebounding averaging.
• Haugen and Molstad also guide the South Dakota Mines offense in assists. Haugen is 13th in the conference with 2.7 assists per game, while Molstad is 17th at 2.5.
• Protecting the rim for the 'Rockers is Marissa Hirchert who has five block on the season. She averages 0.8 per game which is 13th in the RMAC.
• Molstad leads the defense from a steals standpoint with 1.5 per game. Hirchert is not far behind at 1.2 steals per contest.
