SB/BB | Weather Cancels and Moves Games for Adams

ALAMOSA - With more than 18 inches of snow in Spearfish, South Dakota, and heavy rain expected in the Dallas area, both Adams State University softball and baseball teams have had change of plans for this upcoming weekend of games. The softball games against Black Hills State University have been canceled, while the baseball series against Tarleton State University have been changed to Saturday, Sunday and Monday instead of the traditional Friday through Sunday games.

The men's baseball team is still searching for its first win, coming off of a series against West Texas A&M. The team has been close twice this year, losing the game in the final inning against Augustana University at home and once against West Texas in a 2-0 affair last weekend.

The men's team is led by Tyson Zanski, who is hitting .474 in 19 at bats. He has a pair of home runs and three RBIs, while doubling the next Grizzly in total bases with 16. Billy Ryan also has a batting average more than .400 with a .444. Nico Nintze leads the team with four RBIs.

On the mound, Andrew Shaw has an unbelievable 0.00 ERA, pitching nine innings this season, a team-high. He has allowed just seven hits in two appearances, struck out five and walked five.
