Hinojosa and Reker Highlight Awards For Grizzlies

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — On Wednesday morning, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its 2026 RMAC Baseball Awards winners, All-RMAC teams, and Gold Glove team. Highlighting the list for the Grizzlies was freshman Osaias Hinojosa, who won Freshman Player of the Year and was the Grizzlies' lone All-RMAC selection, named to the 2nd Team All-RMAC team. Also highlighted was Seth Reker, who won the RMAC Gold Glove at third base for his exceptional defensive ability all year.

For Osaias Hinojosa, the honor marks a historic achievement as he becomes just the third freshman in Adams State Grizzlies baseball history to earn the award—and the second consecutive Grizzly to do so. His offensive consistency set him apart from the rest of the conference's freshmen, as he finished the season with a remarkable .410 batting average, along with 13 doubles, 11 home runs, 54 RBIs, and 39 runs scored.

Hinojosa led the Grizzlies in several major offensive categories, including batting average, home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage, and OPS, while ranking second on the team in both total bases and on-base percentage. His standout season also etched his name into the program's record books, as his .410 average ranks fourth-best in a single season, his 11 home runs are tied for fifth, and his 54 RBIs are tied for fourth. Overall, it was a memorable debut campaign for the freshman, who more than earned this recognition in addition to his Second Team All-RMAC designation at designated hitter.

Seth Reker earned Gold Glove honors after serving as a steady and reliable presence at third base throughout the season. A key contributor at the hot corner over the past three years, Reker has consistently been among the top defensive third basemen in the RMAC and now adds his first Gold Glove to that résumé.

On the year, Reker posted a .945 fielding percentage while recording 101 putouts and 70 assists. He also turned 11 double plays, showcasing both his defensive awareness and consistency. His performance anchored the infield and solidified his place as one of the conference's premier defenders, making him a deserving recipient of this prestigious honor.
