COLORADO SPRINGS- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released their yearly men's basketball awards this week. Two Grizzlies made the cut, with seniors
Brandon Sly taking first-team honors and
Shane Johnson landing on the second team.

Sly reached 1000 Adams State career points last night after spending the first two years of his collegiate career at Utah State University Eastern. At 18.3 points per game, Sly ranks fourth in the conference in scoring and ranks first in total assists with 177. The senior has also recorded six double-doubles this season including one triple-double.

Shane Johnson made the second-team list. Johnson ranks sixth in the conference in scoring with 511 points on the year. Shane reached a career high with 30 points in the Grizzlies' win over No. 21 Fort Lewis last Tuesday.

Dayon Goodman of Westminster took home RMAC Player of the Year. Dexter Sienko of Regis won Defensive Player of the Year. Michael Glen from the Colorado School of Mines was an honorable mention but was also named Freshman of the Year. Â Â

The Grizzlies face No. 25 Fort Lewis Friday in the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament at 7:00PM in Durango, Colorado. Â
