Grizzlies Get Four-Game Road Trip Started at Colorado Christian, Regis

ALAMOSA, Colo. - Adams State Women's Basketball hits the road this weekend. The Grizzlies will be on the road for the next four games before returning home to Plachy Hall Gym in February.

Tip-Off
• The Grizzlies come into the weekend with a 1-14 overall record and 1-14 in the RMAC. They enter this weekend's contests looking to end a 12-game losing streak  and a seven-game road losing streak.
• Adams State is 0-7 in true road games this year. Against RMAC opponents, Adams State 0-4 in road games.
• Following the two contest in the Denver area, the Grizzlies will head to Utah for a second pair of RMAC road games. They head to Westminster College and Dixie State on Feb. 1 and 2, respectively.

Adams State Breakdown
• Adams State is averaging 54.3 points per game on 37.2% shooting from the floor. From three-point range they average a 26.7 shooting percentage per contest.
• Defensively, the Grizzlies are allowing opponents to score 65.3 points per contest. Opponents shoot an average of 42% overall against the Grizzlies and 33.5% from beyond the arc.
• Adams State still ranks in the top-three in the RMAC as a team in free throw percentage. As a unit, they shoot 73.6% and have made 159 shots from the line on 216 attempts.
• The Grizzlies average ranks second overall in the RMAC is in the top-50 in NCAA Division II this season.
• With an average of 12.7 points per game on 37.6% shooting, Stephanie Ruiz is the leading scorer for Adams State. She is the only player averaging double-digit points and ranks 13th in the RMAC.
Ki'asha Harris continues to bring down the most rebounds for the Grizzlies. She averages 5.6 boards per contest and is tied for 20th in the RMAC. Harris is also still the top free throw percentage shooter at 87.8%.
Brooke Neal is second behind Harris in both rebounds and free throw percentage. She averages 4.3 rebounds per games and is shooting 76.6% from the free throw line.
Marshell Hollins and Neal lead the way for the offense in assists per game. Hollins is atop the list averaging 2.1 per game, with Neal right behind her at 1.9 per game. Both sit top-30 in the conference.
• Hollins and Neal are also the team leaders in steals. they both average 1.3 per game and have 19 total steals apiece. Harris is not far behind with 17 total and averages 1.1 per game.
Lowendie Laporal now stand alone as the team leader in blocks with 10 total in 15 games played. She averages 0.7 per game which is tied for 17th in the RMAC.

Scouting Colorado Christian
• The Cougars come into the weekend one game under .500 overall at 8-9. The team is one game over .500 in the RMAC with a 6-5 record.
• CCU is currently on a four-game homestand and split it first two games last weekend. They are currently in a four-way tie for seventh in the RMAC with Black Hills State, MSU Denver, and UCCS.
• The Cougars are one of the highest scoring team in the RMAC averaging 66.4 points per game which is fifth-best. They shoot 42.1% from the field and average 32.2% from deep. His overall percentage is fourth in the conference.
• On the defensive end, CCU gives up 67.6 points per game to the opposition on 39% shooting. Opponents shoot 31.7% against CCU from three-point range.
• Two players are averaging double figures through 17 games played. Jordan Baer leads the way averaging 19.6 points per game. Sarah McGinley is second with a 14.3 points per game average.
• Baer's average is second highest in the RMAC but she is the conference leader in field goal percentage at 55.5%. McGinley is fourth in percentage at 47.6% while her points average is eighth in the RMAC.
• McGinley is also the team's top weapon from three-point range with a 46% average. Her average is second best in the conference, while her 2.7 made three's per game is third.
• Baer is also the leader in rebounds averaging 7.1 per game. She has 120 total boards in 17 games played. She is tied for seventh in the RMAC with her average.
• Marie Tsoungui averages the most assists per game for CCU with 2.8 per game. Davenport Brantley is second at 2.0 assists per game.
• Tsoungui is also the team leader in steals averaging 1.5 per game. Baer is second averaging 1.2 steals.
• Baer and Madison Price are the top shot blockers for the Cougars. Baer averages 1.2 per game and has 21 total to lead the way. Price is second averaging 1.0 per game and has totaled 17. Both rank in the top-10 in the conference.
• As a team, CCU is third in the RMAC in blocked shots per game at 3.71. they also rank fifth in the conference in assists averaging 13.35 per contest.

Scouting Regis
• The Rangers are 9-7 overall entering the weekend. They are one game under .500 in the RMAC with a 5-6 record. They have dropped their last two games entering this weekend.
• Offensively, Regis averages an even 65 points per game and shoots 36.2% from the floor. They average a 31.9 shooting percentage from beyond the arc.
• Defensively, the Rangers hold opponents 60.1 points per game, which is seventh best in the RMAC. Opponents do shoot 41.4% overall against the Rangers and 36.4% from deep.
• Just one player is averaging double figure points in Majeste Robinson. She puts up 12.3 points per contest which is 16th in the conference.
• Jaz'Myne Snipes and Whitney Jacob are averaging just under 10 points at 9.6 and 9.5 points per game, respectively.
• Shelby Espinosa leads the way in is the top rebounder averaging 9.8 per game and has 156 total. Both numbers are the highest marks in the RMAC.
• Robinson has the highest assist average at 2.6 per game, while Elly Walters is second at 2.1 per game. Robinson is also the leader in steals averaging 1.7.
• Alex Nelson leads the Cougars in blocked shots with 13 total and averages 0.8 per game. She also has the top free throw percentage at 74.1%.
• As a team, Regis is second in the RMAC in rebounds per game at 39.6.
