Grizzlies Gearing Up for 2019-2020 Season in Texas

ALAMOSA, Colo. – Adams State Women's Basketball will top off the 2019-2020 season in Texas, to take on Tarleton State University and Cameron University. The Grizzlies will be at the two-day Texan Tip-off Classic Friday Nov. 8 and Saturday Nov. 9.

Adams State finished the 2018-2019 season 2-24 overall and went 2-10 in RMAC. The Grizzlies finished 16 in conference standings. Moving in to this season, the Grizzlies were picked to finish 14 in this year's RMAC Coaches Preseason Poll.

Leading the Charge
Adams State is under the wing of Jamie Green with her second year at Adams State. In her first season at Adams State, she brought Division II championship experience to the young Adams State Program. She took over the Grizzlies with a winning mindset and goals for their bright future. Green has brought in a talented recruiting class that looks to challenge the status quo.

Returning on Green's staff is assistant coach, Jordan Mellott. Mellott has worked with Green in the past and continues in his second year at Adams State. Mellott continues to help build the program, and make steps in progressing in to the future. New to the Grizzlies staff is Rachel Blackburn. Blackburn comes to Adams State as a first year assistant, after spending four years as a student-athlete with the University of Nebraska women's basketball program.
