ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Men's Lacrosse team is set to begin postseason this weekend for the RMAC Tournament. As the No. 4 seed, the Grizzlies take on top-seeded and host Westminster College.

Opening Faceoff
• Adams State finished the regular season with a 3-9 overall record and were 0-6 in conference action.
• Despite being unable to secure a RMAC win, the Grizzlies battled against each one of their opponents in every game.
• Adams State will look to play spoiler in the first round of the RMAC Tournament against the Griffins who barely escaped the last game.
• Should the Grizzlies pull of the upset they would advance to the championship match on Saturday, May 4.

Last Time Out
• The Grizzlies closed out the final weekend of the regular season with a pair of home contests.
• Adams State fell to Colorado Mesa 10-4 last Friday. The Mavericks used a fast start in the opening period to secure the six-goal win.
• Senior Day was a battle for the Grizzlies as they nearly upset the Griffins. They ultimately fell 12-10, but battled all 60 minutes against the visitors on their home turf.
Austin at the Helm

Adams State Breakdown
• Entering the postseason, five Grizzlies have a total of 20 or more points on the year, including one with over 30.

Tanner Beck continues to lead the offense with 31 points on the year. He scored 17 goals and had a team-high 14 assists on the year.
• True freshman
Riley Morrison has been a spark the last few weeks and is tied second in points with 23. He has the most goals with 19 to go along with four assists.

Kale Wilson also has 23 points on the year. He is tied for second with Beck in goals with 17 and has tallied six assists.
• Rounding out the 20-point club are
Johnny Rosas and
Jacob Austin. Rosas has 14 goals and six assists, while Austin has 10 goals and assists, respectively.

Terry Trudgian and
Roman Pepelyaev are tied for the team lead in groundballs with 32 apiece.
• Sitting third in groundball pickups is Beck, while
Kevin Chitwood and
Sawyer Robison are tied for fourth with 21, respectively.
• Trudgian also leads the defensive unit with 13 caused turnovers this year. Beck and Robison are tied for second with nine each.
• Chitwood, Brennan grass, and
Coltyn Kelly are all tied for fourth in caused turnovers with eight, respectively.
• Pepelyaev is also the go to faceoff man for the Grizzlies as he has won 69 this season.

Connor Johnson still leads the goalkeeping unit in starts with 11. He has 111 saves on the year and sports a .583 save percentage.
Scouting Westminster College
• The Griffins will host the RMAC Tournament after finishing conference play with a perfect 6-0 record to win the regular season crown.
• Nick Marcy is the top offensive weapon for Westminster as he leads the team in points. He has 75 on 28 goals scored and a team-best 47 assists.
• Kolton Atkinson is the leading goal scorer with 51 and has added five assists for 56 points.
• Spencer Whinery is third in points with 13 goals and 12 assists for 25. Blake Gross rounds out the 20-point group with 21 on 17 goals and four assists.
• Also in double-digit goals are Jacob Taylor and Cole Flinders with 14 and 12, respectively.
• Mitchell Senour is the groundball pickup leader with 63 on the year to go along with seven caused turnovers to help the defense.
• Kyle Williams is second in groundballs with 47 and has 13 caused turnovers, which is fourth most on the team.
• Flinders and Grant Phillips are tied for the team lead in caused turnovers with 19 each. Harrison Nye is third with 15 on the year.
• Senour continues to lead the way in faceoffs with 124 wins in 243 attempts. He has a .510 faceoff percentage entering the postseason.
• Sean Edwards has the most starts in net with 12 while playing in 14 games. His 104 saves also leads the team.
