ALAMOSA, Colo.-Adams State University Head Football Coach
Jarrell Harrison has announced that 16 players have signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022. Below is that list and personal comments by Coach Harrison.
Damien Orozco
"Damien has a bright future here at ASU. He comes to us from Alamosa HS where he is a two sport athlete," said Harrison. "He is still growing into his body and with hard work he can be an impact player for our program."
David Watson
"David is great young man who has joined our team this spring. He brings a ton of experience to our program.," said Harrison. "He will be playing baseball also, and that speaks to the athleticism this big man has."
Malik Blackmon
"Malik is a dynamic wide receiver that can take it to the house whenever he touches the ball," noted Harrison. "He plays big in the big moments and can come up with tough catches in traffic"
Dervin Taylor III
"Dervin is a tremendous young man who know what he wants in life," said Harrison. "He is a quick twitch defensive back with the ability to break down hill on throws. His future is bright at ASU."
Trevin Hull
"Trevin is tough as nails, he will compete for the tough catches and make some big plays," said Harrison. He has strong hands and good route runner. Trevin will be fun to coach in the fall."
Sebastian Felix
"Sebastian is a big body defensive back that can move. He has fluid hips to go along with speed," said Harrison. "He is already on campus working hard. We are excited about the thought of Sebastian roaming our secondary
Isaiah Jefferson
"Big man is coming to us from the sunshine state where he was a tremendous player. He is long and still growing and will help us out a great deal along the offensive line," said Harrison.
Reggie Miles
"Reggie will be a grad student here at ASU and bring a ton of playing experience," said Harrison. "He is strong and has a quick get off. We are excited about him in the trenches this fall."
JoeJo Wallace
"Joejo is a good player who has all the traits you're looking for in a defensive back," said Harrison "He plays the game hard and at a high level that will rub off on the rest of his teammates."
Eddie McClendon
"Eddie Is a great addition to the Grizzly family. He brings great experience to our team from his time playing at a higher division. His versatility within the secondary is very valuable," said Harrison.
Ramon Ortega
"Ramon is a good athlete who has experience on both sides of the ball. He will compete in the defensive secondary for us," said Harrison. "He is smart and likes to hit. Fall of 22 should be fun with Ramon on the field."
Jaiden Lee-Brinkman
"Also coming to us from Modesto Junior College as a teammate of Brandon Carvalho. Jaiden bring instant physical and mental toughness to our football program," said Harrison. "He is tough as nails and will make an impact right away. Jaiden is a great young man who will add value to our community as well."
Gunnar Hernandez
"Gunnar is a great young man who I believe is still growing. He has a bright future here at ASU," said Coach Harrison. He can make plays on both sides of the ball and also in the return game. He is a great addition to our program
Vikiami Schaumkel
"Viliami is a hard-hitting linebacker who plays the game at an intense level," noted Harrison. "His ability to lead helps out our defense. We are glad he is on our team."
Brandon Carvalho
"Brandon comes to us from a great program in Modesto Junior College. He brings a ton of experience to our offensive line," noted Harrison. "He's tough and fearless which is everything we want in an offensive lineman We are happy that he is already on campus working hard."
Mark Salazar
"Mark is a high character young man with a strong arm. He brings a ton of experience to our QB room and I can't wait to see him compete this spring," said Coach Harrison.
