DENVER, Colo. — The Grizzlies take on Colorado Christian University today in Denver, Colorado. Due to field availability the Grizzlies played two seven inning games today. 

Game 1: Grizzlies 7 Cougars 4

​The Grizzlies came out and put up the first run in the top of the first inning. Cedric Reynaud singled to plate Ryan Downs. The Grizzlies then added another run in the top of the third inning with a single from Matt Bathauer to score Brody Bettis. The Cougars then responded with four runs in the bottom of the third inning which included a three-run home run. Mike Bathauer came up with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth and hit a grand slam to left field. Cedric Reynaud added on with another run with a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to left center.

​The Grizzlies started right-handed pitcher Alfredo Villa, Alfredo threw all seven innings giving up four runs with seven strikeouts, and zero walks. He was given the win for the Grizzlies bringing his record to 5-2. 

Game 2: Cougars 4 Grizzlies 3 

​The Grizzlies came out and scored the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly by Cedric Reynaud to score Ryan Downs. The Cougars then responded in the bottom half of the first with a singled that scored a run. The Grizzlies took back the lead with a single by Nathan Hield that scored Matt Bathauer in the top of the third inning. In the same inning the Grizzlies scored another run on a wild pitch. The Cougars scored a run in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Cougars walked off the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with a single. 

​The Grizzlies started right-handed pitch Cutter Smith. He was handed the loss for Grizzlies throwing six innings with two walks, zero strikeouts and four runs. This brings his record to 1-4
