KEARNEY, Neb. --The Adams State men's and women's swim teams competed this weekend at the UNK invite, in Kearney, Nebraska. Through 40 events the men finished 1st with a score of 903 and the women finished 4th with a score of 401.
The men competed in 17 events and the women competed in 15. The men placed top 3 twenty times and won 5 events, while the women reached the podium 9 times.
Matt Tidwell won the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.77, Cody Natali won the 100 and 200 yard backstroke with a time of 56.84 and 2:05.26, Brayden Stalcup won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.57, and Bryce Scott won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:09.99.
On the women's side Peyton Schwartz placed 2nd in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.20, under half a second away from 1st place. Jocelyn Jones placed 2nd in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.96, also just off finishing first.
Next Up
The Grizzlies will be off next weekend, but will be back in action November 15-18 for the TYR/CMU invitational, in Grand Junction, Colorado.
